REDUCED FARES TO RECRUITS
AUSTRALIAN SHIPPING CO.'S ACTION. The Melbourne "Age" of July 15 states Arrangements have been made by the Aberdeen Line Company whereby passengers proceeding to England by the company's vessels in order to enlist in the British Army will be allowed a substantial refund of the saloon passage money by the London offices of the company on production of tho necessary papers showing that the applicant has enlisted. A reduction will also be allowed passengers travelling third class by the Melbourne agents (Dalgety and Company, Ltd.), provided they are satisfied that the applicant has made bonafide arrangements to enlist. Red Cross nurses proceeding Home to join the colours will be treated on a similar basis.
