SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

. ♦ ' There was a large gathering-to meet Mr. W. ]fi. Fuller and his concert party at the Sailors' Friend Society Institute last night.' The gathering proved most enjoyable and the programme items excellent. Mr. Moore, missioner, was in the chair. The competitions went with a siring, the siuging competition being won "by Mr. Moss of the s.s.- Somerset, and a conundrum competition by Mr. Lcary, of the Ruahine. The performers were: Misses Eva Smith, Mi-' lesi, Mueller, and Master Tonks! Mrs. Hendry and Mrs. Staples presided at the piano. Ringing cheers rewarded the party and they were responded to by Mr~ Fuller.
