THE RAILWAY BUREAU
EXTENSION OF HOURS. The establishment of a railway ticket and inquiry bureau in the heart of the City (the King's Chambers) has proved sucn a decided _ success that the Department has decided to open the bureau at 9 a.m. cach morning of the week, instead of an hour later, as has been the case since the bureau was opened. The hours, as from yesterday, will be from a.m. to 6 p.m., except on Saturdays, when the bureau will close at 1 p.m. The average receipts now amount to about £100 a day, which is appreciably in advance of the best summer business. The fact that the bureau is now in existence under the public's nose has become bettor known as time has passed, and the faot . that any information regarding railway matters can be obtained for the mere asking is a boon that is now being thoroughly appreciated.
