ANTI-WAR -FEELING SPREADING IN GERMANY
; (There is practically 110 news of fighting in any of the) theatres of operations. The Germans, according to information from Russian sources, are preparing for the offensive, in Poland, and Warsaw is the objective. The Russians liavo taken up a concentrated position on the right bank of the Narew. In Flanders and in France there has been a comparative calm, disturbed only by a futile bombardment of a sector by the Germans, and effective air raids by aviators from tie Allies. The Italians were attacked in force by the Austrians in the mountain passes, and while the Italians claim to have repelled the attack and consolidated their positions, tlie Austriaus the Italians have been repulsed with heavy losses. In the Dardanelles there is no report of any fighting, but it is reported, from Salonika that' the negotiations between Turkey and Bulgaria have .terminated, Turkey being not only unwilling to cede territory hut entertains hopes of recovering the Adrianople-Dedeagatch railway. In the Welsh coal crisis there is yet no settlement.' In South 'Africa a formidable movement of racialism snd vindictjveness has developed, under General Hertzog, who is a bitter ..opponent of General Botha. .
