EASTBOURNE AFFAIRS

Tho Eastbourne Borough Council met at Rona. Bay on Friday night, the Mayor (Mr. F. P. Kelly), presiding.

It was decided to instruct the FerryBoard to bring down' a scheme for a system of parcels delivery, and the Bylaws Committee to draft a by-law for licensing vehicles plying for liire in the borough. W. Crossley'6 application for a renewal of his billiard saloon license was granted. Tho Finance Committee was instructed to draw up a system of holidays for souncil employees. It was decided to ask the Department of Agriculture to take immediate action to compel certain owners, of property, to remove gorse from their land.
