Boose, who lias been for several years past the secretary of the Koyal Colonial Institute, and has'had a life-long connection with it, will in future devoto. his, whole time and energies to a recently-created post of travelling 'commissioner,- for the purpose of recruiting new members and extending the' activities of the institute over wider fields, having already acted in that capacity with great success in Canada. South Africa, and Australasia. Sir Harry "Wilson, K.C.M.G., has accepted the post of secretary, for which ho is specially qualified by his previous service at the Colonial Office and in South Africa. Ho will at. the same 'timo act as joint-editor of "United Empire" ivith Mrs. Archibald Colquhoun, whose late husband created that journal in its present form, and edited it with, marked ability. i
