AMPLE HOSPITAL SPACE. . . His Excellency the Governor has receiv«d a telegram from Sir John G. Maxwell concerning accommodation in the military- hospitals in Egypt for New Zealand sick and wounded. Following is aii extract from it:, "We have ample accommodation in tho hospitals for New ZeoJand sick and wounded. Tho Egyptian Army -Hospital is- entirely handed over to-tho New Zealanders, and there are at the present moment many empty beds. - The two stationary hospitals'sent by you to Egypt are shortly arriving. Patients are not sent to convalescent camps until they no longer need hospital treatment, _ and they remain in these camps until they are fit to go to the front. The so-called convalescent camps are wherever possible largo airy buildings."
