Owing to a severe sore throat Mr. T. C. Webb, junr., orchard instructor, was unable to lecture to those present at the demonstration given in Mr. Q'Leary's orchard, Upper Hutt. The ■difficulty was overcome by Mr. J. Campbell, orchard instructor, Hastings, giving-the lecture while Mr. Webb did the practical work. ' The Ballance Dairy Company paid out. £390 yesterday for miik supplied to its butter factories and creameries during June.- Payment was made at the rate of Is. 2d. per lb. of butter-fat, and the total paid out was the lowest month. ' The' Mangatainoka Cheese Factory suppliers expect to receive ■ payment totalling ]6d. per lb.-of butter-fat, for milk supplied during the past season. — l'ahiatua correspondent. , So far there has only been a slight advance Oil the prices of the famous Victor Cheese Vats, and factories are now ordering in view of a possible furthor illcrease.
