•1 _ ■ The morning session of the general mooting of the Society of Friends for Now Zealand at Boulcott Street Hall yesterday was devoted " to the consideration of the replies of the conference to the letters received from various parts of the world. A pnper dealing with the question of social service was read by Mr. Wm, H. Farrand, of Auckland. This was followed by an interesting' discussion on the possible eervico that might be rendered to the community by an increased interest in oducational matters. The afternoon session was devoted to the finishing up of the balance. of business brought before the-general meeting. • Tlio next general meeting of thesociety will he held at Dunedih during Easter of next year.
