PmdJay, Dalzicll, and Howard, acting on behalf of the Bank of New Zealand, against tho proprietor of the newspaper r Truth '" cl,illin e » total of £10,000. damages for alleged libel. There aro understood to bo two distinct aotions. The one is for £5000 in respect to a criticism of the bank's balancosbeet and report and its administration, appearing m the paper referred to, published on June 10,; and signed "Cambist." The other is for a like amount m respect to.-a contonts bill advertising the said issue of "Truth" and bearing tlio words—"Bank of New Zealand—a Position of Extreme Gravity.?'
