BOY DROWNED. By' Telegraph.—Press Ae&oclation. Waihi, July 14. ; Joseph Oarr, aged 13, son of a local baker, was ■ drowned in the OMncmuri River this afternoon. He and two other young lads . were playing in a. flatbottomed boat, when it got adrift. They jumped out into tlie stream and two scrambled ashore.. . ■ BODY FOUND ON BEACH. Wanganui, July 14. Til© body of a man founJ" on. the beach at AVangneliu, near Wangamii, lias been identified as that of Michael Earrell, a' married man and a labourer by -occupation, residing near Stratford. Farrell fell into tlie river .while crossing tho railway bridge on his Way to work at Whangamomona.
