The: v Hon. R. H. Rhodes, Dr. Valintine, and i -Miss Bicknell all expressed their great appreciation: of: tho general principles of the' Sisterhood's scheme. Miss Bick- ;. liell thought it impracticable. ;■ tolot these 'military ; hospital^.' probationers I count their nursing servico as part of • a course to be completed l in the future i as trained hurses/'becausei'the members:! of.'the'. For the Wounded Soldiers' Fund. :Thd second-annual dance' of the Customs and \ Marine and Inspection of Machinery Departments was held . in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall last .'evening for the benefit of the Wounded' Soldiers' Fund.. The Chamber was .filled ..with.'daiicers, the keen,' Brie; night, no ' doubt inspiring many' with a , zest for dancing, .while at the. same tiine their sense, of duty' was satisfied 1 With the benefit that:■ would <iaccrue to the.
