Mr. J. Cr, Rutherford said that in Auckland they looked v on Mr. Hall as the Encyclopaedia of Agriculture. Another speaker ; termed Mr. Hall the pioneer of many important Now Zealand movements,' and Sir .Walter Buchanan said that Mr, Hall deserved to be ■ remembered .if only for his work respecting rural telephones for this country.
