A wireless message has been received from Captain Stringer, of the Moana, stating that he expects the vessel to arrivo at Wellington from San Francisco, via way ports, on Thursday next. Provided the Moana makes port early an endeavour will bo made .to dispatch her for Sydney, via Lyttelton the-same evening. CARGO FOB HOME SPOUTS. ' Before the' C. and D. liner-, Indi-abarah left Wellington for Gisborno to continue Homeward loading on Sunday, sho took in the following cargo ait this port:—l 399 bales wool, 32.baler skins, 1289 casks tallow, 687 casks pelts, 2443 casw preserved meats, 1673' basg hides, 36 barrels tallow, 18 casks lard, 10 cases sundries, 1 drum glycerine 49 sacks peas, 28,271 carcasses mutton, 25,492 carcasses lamb, 2505 quarters beef, 305 crates kidneys, 32 sacks frozen sundries. On Saturday the' vessel' loaded an exceptionally largo cargo of frozen meat, equal to 18,700 carcasses of mutton. : This is-said to be,a record for the .port in one day. The Defender is due at Wellington from Lyttelton this morning. She will be dispatched for' Blackball, Greymouth, and Hokitika, this afternoon.
Laden with explosives, ei the Athenic from London, the auxiliary schooner Huia left Auckland for Wellington direct on Saturday. She should show up here about to-morrow, and after loading part of her cargo will proceed on to southern ports.
