Tho Chasseurs' ammunition was exhausted, but they rolled huge rocks crushing many of the enemy, and checked the offensive.The French artillery then got the range, and terrifically bombarded the German lines. This enabled a. battalion to rescue tho company, who had two killed and threo wounded. They captured ten men, a machine-gun, End. four thousand cartridges., , ■
