HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE, . The new bill to have been presented at His Majesty's Theatre last evening could not be staged- owing to the new artists being on the Auckland express, which was delayed by a slip on the Main Trunk line. The management put on a programme which was practically a repetition of last Week's entertainment, and was very pleasing. A couple of pictures were" added, and these were particularly interesting. The change bill, which includes several new artists, will be produced to-night, and, of course, throughout the remainder of the week. There was a good "house" last evening, notwithstanding that notices announcing "no change" were posted, and money was refunded to- any who wished to saye their entrance fee. for to-niglit. '

The new series 10-night will bo headed .by a Vitagraph drama "Good-bye, Summer/' suggested: by, .the celebrated song, Tpsti's "Good-bye." -■ Other items will include a Keystone comedy, "Lor?> In Armour," in which a new comedian, Mr. Max Davidson, -will make his appearance.

EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. . This week's' programme of pictures' at Everybody's' Theatre is. really composed of all'star items. The publio discovered this , quickly enough, and ,this popular house of amusement, after; being crowded, daring the afternoon, was unable to find, for all of its patrons at the evening sessions. The special attraction is ah Edison drama, '."Where is My Wandering, Boy To-night?" The piece is full .of . heart-stirring incidents,. and is , calculated to make a strong appeal to the gentler sex. It. is .capably"acted by a star, cast, with Mr/.Marc .MlDermott in the.lead. At the evening.', sessions the .song "Where is My , Wandering Boy To. night?" was.Bung by Miss .Kitty Blaney during the screening .of . the film. , The Keystone Company is represented on the bill by a society comedy, "That. Little Band of Gold.-" The cast for-this number includes Miss Mabel-Normand and Messrs. Roscoe Arbuckle and-Ford Sterling,-Nat-urally enough the acting is of the very best, and there is a splendid theatre scene worked .'into the story.. "Fighting, in tho Argonne" ■is a war i tem of more than ordinary interest,. and the "Gaumont Graphic" supplies up-to-date topical events in picture form. "The Girl'on the Trestle" is a thrilling drama, of 'railroad I life; while "The Reindeer" is one of those nature Studies which are. worth a place on anypicture programme. - Orchestral items are Tendered,at all sessions. ■

THE/EMPRESS. ' \ : Crowded to overflowing was'the state of affairs at the popular .Empress Theatre all through yesterday. . Much interest centred; inthat .very., excellent snd lengthy, motion reco-rd, ."With New Zealand's Soldiers at Home and TJiroilgh Egypt." Component parts of the-fine film are : :."JVire-. well at Newtown Park," "Route March, from Trentham to .Transport,"' . "Close .View of 'Faces at Ship's Side," "Waving Farewells,". "The Main Body, in the Great CarnJ) at'Mena,'- Egypt," "Divine Service in the-Desert/' and a beautiful silhouette, "The Watch on the Nile."'The picture deserves and spontaneously received a. ! great reception. The star drama, "The Leopard's foundling," with .popular ICathlyn ' Williams and" Baby Wade at their best, as a -splendid Cinema , production much to the liking of patrons. Photo, graphy and acting are -excellent, and the setting on-the African veldt, with leopards roaming wild, is full of interest. New Zealand a.combination of leading vaudeville' artists, ■ known as the .Tivoli' Follies.' The Wellington season opens at the Grand Opera House on July 19; for six nights..The .Follies' - are said to be very happily 'varie-1 by .clever vaudeville specialities and- a big revue. Of the porformers, suoh names'as Jack Cannot, Frank Greene, and Vera Pearce, formerly associated with musical comedy, will be happily Temembered here. Other English and American.'artists will .make their first appearance. . Mr. M'lntosh has also secured Mr. Robert Parker, the baritone, for the New Zealand tour.
