The first concert passed off most successfully, .cach au s d every, item being encored.. ' The'-'following: contributed songs: Sergeants Stenberg and Pollard, and Privates Smythe, Swinburn, Holder, Owen, and -Fayer, and recitations wero given by Sergeant Fallop, Priavtei Stenton, Carlson, Macartney, Gray, Wintero, Ware, and Brodziak, the last-nam-ed being an entertainment in himself.
Tho euchre tuornameut brought forward 112 contestants. The winners were: Priavte Chappell, 1; Private, .Toll, 2; whilst Priavtes M'Quinn and Libau ran a dead heat for the "egg.". The billiard tournament now in progress lias brought to 'light eighty-four cueists, and great interest is being displayed by both_ players and onlookers,' and present indications point to a keen-ly-contested finish. ■ Physical drill is held at 7 a.m. each morning, the clases being carrjed. on by sergeants, and everyone is doing his 'best to-keep fit. '
