The annual general meeting of the Society of: Friends of. New- . Zealand opened on Saturday in Bqulcott Street Hall. Members were 111 attendarico from Auckland, Hawke's Bay Taranaki, Wellington, Canterbury, 1 and Otago Provinces, wliilo Mr. Alfred H. Brown, of London, and Oliver (> and Edith . Moxland, of Birmingham,- were visiting Friends from .England. . Epistles were received from the Australasian Committee of London yearly- meeting, the Australian generaH meeting,' Dublin yearly meeting, "and-New York yearly meeting. Reports were received and considered concerning the various activities of the society in the Dominion. The evening sessioni was devoted to the consideration of a Friends' school for New Zealand., The meetiiig . will continue until Wednesday next.
