1, ELECTION '.OF. COMMITTEES* Th'd Wellington Anglican Diocesan Synod ■ continued its : sittings yesterday, the • Bishop of Wellington (Dr. T. H. Sprott) presiding! : ' On the motion of Wilberfoss it was decided: "That it bo a recommendation from this Synod to the trustees of ■ the several' trusts, that jthe trustees of such trusts bo reimbursed thoir actual out-of-pocket ■ expenses incurred by them when travelling solely upon tlio-business of such trusts." It was resolved: "That this Synod leamt with regret than the General Synod at its last meeting repealed Clauses 1 to 20 and 22 and 23 of Canon 2, Title A, and passed a statuto amending this canon without such amended canon having first been submitted' to the several Diocesan Synods for consideration, and that this Synod respectfully expresses its disapproval of the | amended canon." i- ; A copy of this resolution is to bo forwarded to tho Primate. ; The Rev. R. H. Hobday' moved: '!Tliat this Synod desires to .draw the attention of the 'clergy and laity of the. diocese to the importance of the study of the subject of spiritual healing, and recommends that a committee ba set up to consider ways and means of- furthering such study and to report to next Synod; such committee to consist of tho. Revs. H. Watson, G. Y. Woodward, R-. Bray, and E. I. Sola, nnil Mossts. G. G. Bridgos and R. L. Button, and tho mover." Tho motion was seconded by one of tho laity and after some little discus-sion-was carried unanimously. Tlio' Synod went into committee to consider matters of finance, Members of the Standing Committee) were elected as follow:—Clergy i Tho Veil. Archdeacon Fancourt, tho Revs. A. L. Hansel. A. M. Johnson, 'A. S. limes-Jones, H. Watson, A. O. Williams. and R. Yount;. Laity: Messrs. W. J. Birch', ■ G. G. Bridges, E. F. Hadfield, W. F. Jacob. J. W. Henderson, ,T. Kobhell. H. A l . Novins, G. Shirtc-lilfo. and R. Wilberfoss. Tho following wero elected members of General Svuod:—Clergy: Tlio Ven. Archdeacon Hoove, A. _M. Johnson, and H. Watson. Laity: Messrs. AV. J. Rirch, John Martin, T. F. Martin, and R.' AYilberfoss.
