Holt-, the assailant of _ Mr. Morgan, attempted to commit suicide by- opening ail artery in his wrist with a pencil. Holt had. lost much blood before his plight was discovered. Morgan's condition is encouraging, thougli it is possiblo the serious abdominal wound' may develop blood poisoning. It is authoritatively stated that his illness will not interfere with the firm's duties as the British purchasing agents.
