I The Golden Knight youngster purchased biF the Messrs., Kiddiford from Mr. Christie, of Oamaru, has, arrived at Trentham. Ho is very'much in tlie rough lit present, and Will require time. The fact that Lord Multifid is entered for the New Zealand Cup may mean that his owner intends sending him , back to the Dominion. He is being well looked after by the weight adjusters on the other side, but-they are hardly to blame,-as his form, taking a line through the running of Royal Alice, was distinctly good. He. beat itlio last-named maTe pointless when she was supposed to be in a stono too light; and since her defeat by the New Zealander she lias won. several pood handicaps, including the Richmond Cup, in .which Sauci finished behind her. This being so; it is not to be wondered at that the' handicappers (think highly of Lord Multifid. .
