The fire had a firm hold when the brigade 1 arrived on the scene. 'The house, and also tho coiitonts, totally destroyed.',. The family was ' absent . from home at the . time. The house. however,"was occupied last night by Harrv Naylor and' Ernest. Sweeney. Both retired about 10 o'clock. About 3 o'clock Sweeney, discovered the place on fire and tTnj trfen had to,make a speedy exit. ; The • building was insured for £200 in the Northern Office. There was no insurance'on the furniture. Mr, "William 'Naylor estimate's his' loss at £130.
