DEATH PROM HEART FAILURE!,' Mr. D.-G. A'. Cooper, S.M.,' held an inquiry yesterday . afternoon,. into • tho circumstances connected with the death of John M'Pherson, City Forester, who collapsed after alighting from a tramcar near tho Albert Hotel corner on Monday morning. The evidence of Dr. Pollen, who was called in when deceased was dying, and "of Dr. M'Evedy," who made the post-mortem examination of the body, pointed to death from heart failure consequent to pericarditis. ; A verdict was returned in accordance with' the medical tostinioriy. SETTLER DIES SUDDENLY, Masterton, July 6. A' settler of Te Whiti, named William Pike, died suddenly about midday today, presumably from heart failure. Ho was 48 years of age. In the morning ho was out about his-stock.
