PETONE AND HUTT,' The following' are the Petohe, Covrrt returns for-the quarter ending June 30; —Number of plaints,»2B; amount sued for, £148 18b. 10d.; amount received, £119'] 3s. lid. ; casos tried, 21; summonses served, 50; distress v/arroints, 45; civil fees, £10 155.; criminal fees, £7 155.; lines, £20 Bs. 9d.; number of persons summoned and arrested, 58 males, 2 females': , , ' During the quarter 16 civil cases were tried at the .Lower Hutt Court. Tho aggregate amount sued for was ' £353 Is. 5d., the amount recovered being £254-3s. Id. Fivo 'judgment summonses were issued, two orders being made; 38 plaints were entered, and tho amount of civil fees was £18 -17s. Sixty-nuio summonses and 11 distress warrants wero issued; 53 persons wero taken into custody, 52 being summarily convicted; 40 persons were fined and 11 convioted and discharged. The amount of criminal „ffies paid in stamps was £16 3s.j and linos amounted to £38 10s.
