OVER £50,000 FOR THE WOUNDED. (By Teleeraph.—Special OorrispoiidonM Masterton, July 2. Mr. C., E. Cockburn Hood, of Masterton, aud Mr. A. U. Miles, of Wellington, have collected the sum of over £20 to provide tobacco for the troops at the front. This was dispatched' oy a cablegram to-day.

A vigorous canvas of the Wairarapa for funds for the wounded soldiers continues to bo prosecuted. A sum of over £50,000 has already been subscribed for the fund, but this will be substantially increased.
