LONDON WOOL SALES
(By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) ■ London, June 30. At tne wool sales merinos were fully equal to opening rates; scoureds often reached 5 per cent, dearer. Grossbreds sold better, and prices were harder. The following prices were obtained for clips named:—Binnia, top 15Jd., average Mid.; Bangate, top 26Jd., average 24Jd.; JLranel,, top 16d., average 15d.; Yalbalgo, top, Md., average 12id. New Zealand: Braxton,.top 19d., average 181 d. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London office, under daU; June 29:— The sales opened to a fair selection, and a large, attendance of buyers; competition was fairly animated. Compared with the closing rates of May sales greasy combing merinos were 5 to 7} per cent, dearer, and scoured .par to 5 per cent, dearer. Scoured faulty merinos were unchanged. Crossbred show an advance of 5 to 71 J]er oent. Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following advice- from their London agents, dated June 29:—"Wool sales have opened. Medium and coarse crossbred*. 5 per cent, dearer; fine crossbred, 71 par cent, dearer; good merino, 75 per cent, dearer; faulty merinos, unchanged." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date June 29:—Theie is a good demand. Greasy merino, 71 per cent,.; scoured, 5 per cent.; fine greasy crossbred, 71 per cent.; coarser crossbred, 5 per cent, higher. The market is irregular for sl : po.
