SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE SOUGHT His Honour Mr. Justice Chapman heard legal argument, in the Supreme Court yesterday in a- civil action in which evidence had been taken recently in Blenheim. The plaintiff in the case was Arthur Albert Edward Hardcastle, hotelkeeper, of Wellington; while the .defandant was John Falconer, hotelkeeper, of Blenheim. ■ Mr. 0. P.Skerrett, K.C., with him Mr -W. F. Ward, appeared for the plaintiff,'while Mr. Mills, of Blenheim, appeared for the defendant. Hardcastle alleged that on December 15, 1914, Falconer accepted his (Hardcastle's) offer to purchase the goodwill and lease of the Club Hotel, Blenheim, bub that, after the acceptance of tie offer and tlio payment of a deposit of £100, Falconer repudiated the agreement. Hardcastle therefore ' asked for an order for specific performance of tlie agreoment, or, if that could not be given, Hjirdcastle claimed £500 damages. The defence was a denial of any binding oontraot to sell. Decision was reserved. PRISONERS FOR SENTENCE. " The following prisoners will be sentenced at the Supreme Court on Saturday next: —Maka Kaimoka, breaking and entering at Wanganui; Leonard Woodyatt, forgery and "false pretences at Wanganui; Hector M'Lean, breaking and entering and theft at Wellington; Catherine Clenston, false declaration as to birth at Masterton; Albert Simkins, breaking and entering 'at Wanganui; Kathleen Barry, forgery (five charges) at Nelson,
