ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A LAD SERIOUSLY INJURED. A lad of nine or ten years, W. Reid by name, fell off a dray at N'gahaunuiga yesterday, and was very seriously injured. The little fellow was taken to the Public Hospital, which institution reported last evening that he was suffering from a fractured hand, and injuries to his head and chest, and that ha was in a low condition. His father resides at Ryan Street, Potone. Mr. David Andrews, a contractor, residing at Belmont, was injured yosterday whilo helping to load timber on to a dray at the Taranalii Street Wharf. He sustained injuries to his ribs and is suffering from shock. Mr. David Bertie, -Aicf officer of the American three-masted schooner Albert Meyer, now discharging Oregon pine at the Clyde Quay Wharf, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday, suffering from a broken leg.
