BRITAIN'S DEAL IN INDIAN .WHEAT. By Telegraph—Pwss Aseociation—Copyright London, June 27. A writer in the "Observer" says:— "The Government's deal in Indian wheat has been remarkably successful. The shipments to Britain are virtually only the surplus. AVit-hout heavily burdening local consumers it has avoided dislocation by employing the usual wheat importing firms. "The profits will be several millions. The wheat delivered to Britain costs the Indian Government 5Gs. per quarter, lie surplus revenue will be earmarked for the development of agriculture. Sis million acres last under eottou are now under wheat, and a bumper crop will be reaped."
