LIVE STOCK SALES

. Messrs. Dalgety.and Co. report:—We had ft very good entry of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle.' Tho demand was good tliroughout for sheep, and every lot changed hands at the following prices:— Small lambs, Bs. 7d.', 9s. 2d., to lis. lid.; vory fair lambs, 13s. Bd., 13s. lid.. 145., to 14s. 2d.; good lambs, 14s. 6d., 15s. Id., to 15s. 6d.; small two-tooth ewes, to 175.; miisvd-age ewes in lamb, 21s. Id. to 2ls. 2d.; two-tooth wethers, 225. 3d.; light fat owes. 193., 20s. 6d., to 215.; store cows. £2 Bs., £3 9d., to £3 175.; light fnt cows, £6 lfc. 6d.; backward dairy cows, £6 7s. 6d. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that on June 23 they held a most successful sale on account of Mr. H. M. Keyword, at JTopelands, who has recently disposed of his property. Thero was a particularly fine lot of dairy stock offered. There were thirty, lots, which, averaged out at £7 15s. per head. The sheep, plant, and sundries sold very well throughout. The following is a list of some of the sales effected:—Dairy cows,' £8 fe. to ,£ll 145.: twenty-month dairy heifers averaged £4 6s. per head, the tops making £5 10s.: yearling steers, 325.; yearling heifers, £2 7s. od. Sheep: 162 two, four, six, ond eighMooth ewes in lamb, 21s. fid.; 60 forward empty ewes, 18s. Id.; lambs, 13s. 4d.; wethcre, 15s. 3d.; rams, 15s.
