YOUNG MAN INJURED BY A TRUCK. Hokitlkn, June 25. James Finch, a young man, was seriously injured about the legs by a truck passing over him at Malfroy and Co.'s Lush train. YOUTH'S FATAL FALL. Clirlstchuroh, Juno 24. John Ayers, aged 18 years, fell from a tree at Woodend while cutting branches, and fractured his skull. _ He died shortly afterwards. A verdict of accidental death was returned. DEATH FOLLOWING A FALL. Nelson, Juno 25. John Kidson, son of tho second offi;er of tho Anchor steamer Waimea, died at the hospital yesterday as: a result of injuries sustained i" slipping and falling on the deck of tlie vessel some days ago: SUDDEN DEATH. A man named Daniel Breen, aged about 15 vears, residing at 75 Sydney Street.. Petone, died suddenly yesterday niornins. • He is believed to have had friends in the llawke'r- Bay district. An inquest will be held on Tuesday nerL.
