SHARP FALL IN FREIGHTS
DUE TO DROP IN FOOD PRICES IN BRITAIN. London, June 23. The sharp fall in freights is partly attributable to the prices of grain and foodstuffs falling more heavily in Britain than in the producing countries oversea. Merchants, not seeing a profit, are refraining from chartering freight. Buenos Aires grain, which was at 70s. at tho beginning of May, is now at 40s.
