♦ ACTING TRUSTEES APPOINTED. Tho following letter, which explains itself, has been handed to us for publication :— J. P. Luke, Esq., and J. G. W. Aitlcen, Esq., Wellington, Dear sirs, RE WOUNDED SOLDIERS' <fe SAILORS' & DEPENDENTS' FUND. As chairman of the executive of the Carnival Patriotic Committee, I am directed to ask .you to act as trustees of all moneys which aro bejng collected and which will be paid into an account to bo opened at tho National Bank of New Zealand, Wellington, in your names as trustees for the "Wounded Soldiers' and Sailors', and Dependents' Fund." Your duties will bo to hold the moneys uutil permanent trustees are appointed, and upon payment of the moneys to the permanent trusteos your duties and liabilities will ceaso. As soon as tlie permanent trustees are appointed, if outside of yourselves, my executive will inform you of their names and tho moneys are then to be paid over to the permanent trustees. If you aftreo lo net as trustees on ihe above conditions, will you kindly sign the memorandum sot out below, and I shall retain this letter on behalf of all parties. J am enclosing a- copy for you.
