PATRIOTIC LAND SALE
THREE SECTIONS DISPOSED OF At the Patriotic Society's salo of gift land, held in the auction room in the Hotel Windsor building yesterday afternoon, three sections of land presented to the society were submitted by Mr. S. George Nathan. The first section offered was half an acre at Paremata, presented by Mr. Patrick Mungavin, of Porirua, which was bought for £136 by Mr. Alfred Trevor. The second section was a full acre fronting tlie'Soatoun Heights Road, and overlooking Seatoun ana the entrance to Wellington Heads, which wae presented by the Evans Bay and Miramar Land Company. This was sold to Mr. William Liverton for £100. The same buyer also purchased Section 10, Block 41, Karori, which was presented by Mr. C. H. Osmond. In each case the laud sold did not realiso its value, and the bidding could not bo described as brisk. The £136 paid by Mr. Liverton is to bo paid into the society on behalf of Miss Doughty's candidature.
