It is expected that the Government steamer Hiuemoa will arrive back at Wellington from her periodical visit to southern light-houses on Wednesday next-. The vessel is at present in the vicinity of the West Coast Sounds. News has beeu received by the steamer Atua that the barquentine Ysabel was loading at Niuafolou Island on Juno 13 for Auckland. During last week's heavy weather on the West Coast the Union Company's Kaino lost an anchor and 60 fathoms of chain oil' Greymouth. An attempt '.ras made to locate the anchor, without result, when the Kamo left the Weiit Coaat port for Wellington yesterday. The P. and S. liner Somerset, which cleared Liverpool for New Zealand ports on May 17, is duo at Auckland about July 3, and' Wellington July 12. She cleared llobart at noon on Monday Inst with 60 passengers and about 950 tons of cargo for this port. Departure will be taken for southern, ports, llobart, and Melbourne at 5 .p.m. on Saturday.
