SECOND DAY BIG CROWD AND LIVELY INTEREST (By Telegraph.— Special Eojjorter.l Palmerston N., Juuo 23. A bi£ crowd attended -the National Dairy Show to-da.y. Tim weather was cold, there was no sunshine, and tlio ground was saturated with heavy overnight rain, nevertheless tlio peoplo took a very lively interest iu all tlio proceedings. The Te Aute-Wangamii ColWo ItiiKoy matches attracted a huge gatherum. The senior contest was closo aud tho play excellent. Tho result was a draw. AVangaiiui scored two tries 111 the first spell. Sonic time after the second spell hacl been in progress, Te Ante obtained a try, and just on time the Maoris landed "a penaltygoal, and averted defeat. Poultry ajid other judging was done to-day. Some of ths Awards, Fat Stock.—Firsts in fat sheep were secured by Akers Bros, (three), James M'Kelvie (sis), arid W. Rcid and Son.' Produce Judgiug.—There were eighteen. entries for the butter-judging competition, and eighteen for the cheese judgiug. The butter-judging resulted aslolloiys: —j. H. Petersen, Hangaehu, 1; J. FACTORY MANAGERS 'ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL MEETING. Mr. W. C. Dixon (Thames Valley) presided at tlie annual meeting of tho New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' Association, which was held at tho Show Grounds. Officers were elected as follow: — President. Mr. C. Robinson (Alangorci); secretary, Mr. J. Hurray (Taratlale); auditor. Mr.- W. E. Bcudall (Piilmojstou North), Tlio secretary was voted an honorarium of £10 10s. in recognition of his sorvices during the year. The annual report mentioned that an agreement as to a scale of salaries had been secured with the executive of the National Dairy Association. This movement had cost a good deal of money, but ample compensation would result through tlio new conditions. One result already was an increase in the membership of the Managers' Association.
