The three nights definitely fixed for tno enactment ot the "Queen'' corona* twn ceremony at the Town Hall are Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday next. Now and attractive items have been arranged for to-night. A PLEA FOR POSTPONEMENT. Several of'the "Queen" candidates' committees havo urgently 'requested the executive of the Patriotic Society to postpone the closing of the poll for a week, as they find that they are just becoming organised, and lucrative avenues of gathering gold are opening out on evory hand. candidate was heard to say that i( week's postponement would mean the raising of another £S).000 lor certain. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. At the Palais d' Allies, Lambton Quay, this evening the AVeliington Gas tympany s orchestra and musical party Cummings, will assist with the programme. The West Coastters have done goad business at their temporary theatre, and to-night' b programme promises to be one ot the most enjoyablo yet provided, The drawing of the Kelburn villa art union will take place in the Grand Upera House this evening, under tho auspices of the New Zealand Patriotic society. .Ihe Combined Drapers, who are the 'promoters of tho art union, have arranged for •an excellent programme, to which the following will contribute Misses Potrie, Davis Barry, and Lonsdale, and Messrs. Ernest Luks, Allivright, Laslett Exton, Zante "Wood, and Geo. F. Holloway, assisted by the Working Men's Club orchestra. Miss Ruby M'Donald's ooncert in aid of the Wounded Soldiers' and Sailors' Fund will bo given in the Grand Opera Bouse to-morrow evening. Vice-Regal patronage has been accorded tho entertainment. The Wellington Savage Club concert in aid of the Patriotic Fund will be given in the Town Hall to-night. The Savages are noted for the excellence of their performances, and those who attend tho Town Hall to-night will have a great evening's enjoyment. "Why you should vote for No. 10, because you ought to," is the subject of an announcement by the Tramway Boys, who will make a final effort on behalf of their Queen candidate on Saturday. The Tramway Boys are holding a grand flower display on Saturday in support of their Queen candidate, Dr. Platts-Mills. Donations and gifts of flowers, pot plants, and ferns may be sent to tho committee rooms, Featherston Street. To-morrow evening in the Concert Chamber a particularly fine instrumental recital is being given by three talented Wellington musicians—Miss Phyllis Hanify, Miss Frieda Walter, and Mr. Uric Meier. Mies Hanify is a pianist of considerable note, and Miss Walter and Mr. Meier have won considerable praise as violinists. The programme has been very carefully drawn tip, and contains some very fine selections.' Box plan is now open nt the Bristol Piano Co. The proceeds are in aid of the Wounded Soldiers' and Sailors' Fund. Mr. Bernard Page, City Organist.
