The town of Gallipoli is said .to have been heavily bombarded by the warships with destructive results, while the land operations in the same direction have been highly successful. There is also a. good story by Mr, Ashmead Bartlett of the defeat of the Turkish offensive on May 18 and 19, the main facts ot which action have already been t-old. Exciting episodes in which the Australians and New Zealanders figured are also pictured. In the Galician theatre, matters havo undergone very little change, and the fate of Lemberg is still undecided. In the AVesteril theatro tho French continue to press tho advantages secured by their previous successes at various points along their front.
