INTERNATIONAL PRESS CONFERENCE
MR. P. SELIG TO PRESENT A PAPER. By.Telegraph—Press Association. Chrlstohuroh, June 22. Mr. P. Selig, president of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association of New Zealand,' nas been invited by tli6 director of the International Press Congress, which is to meet in San Francisco nest month, to deliver on© of the principal addresses at the congress. The subject chosen for Mr. Selig is "Combination of Newspapers for Mutual Assistance." The director 6tates that it is intended to publish in "the book" of the congress the proceedings and papers read, and. ho has asked Mr.. Selig if he cannot attend the congress to forward a paper on the, subject named for publication in "the book." The address is expected to occupy thirty to forty minutes in delivery. "I earnestly hope you will be able," adds the director,, "to accept the committee's invitation, and by an address as suggested, or on another journalistic topic of general concern, and by participation in discussions to aid in promoting the best interests of our common calling." Mr. Selig is unable to attend the congress, but he will forward tho address. _
