HUNS NEW FIGHTING SHIPS
NAVAL OFFICER'S ASSERTION BATTLESHIPS, CRUISERS, AND SUBMARINES , ~ London, Julio '22. A German naval ofiiccr, in a letter to Aew 1 ork, states that Germany recently completed and commissioned a battleship of 2,3,000 tons and a battle-cruiser ol 20,200 tons, of tho Derfl'iiiiger class with a sliced of twenty-eight knots. Both cany fifteen-inch guns. Germany lias also oomph-ted two fast oriliscrs, and ulso four Dreadnoughts. A number of battle cruisers will be comnlotocl at tlio end of the year, anned with oven heavier than fifteeii-inch guns, twenty-four 1200-ton submarines liavo been constructed sinco tlio beginning of Uio war. with a surface speed of twenty knots, and a submerged speed of sixteen knots. Tliey carry four torpedo tubes, and two heavy quick-firers. On© of tho latter has made tho run to tlio Dardanelles. Twelve 800-tonners and twclvo small submarines have been also completed and half commissioned."
