A specially interesting programme lias been arranged for to-night's meeting of the Wellington" Philosophical Society. The papers to be read will appeal strongly to all lovers of Maori traditions, history, and art. Dr. A. K. Newman, M.P., will deliver a papor entitled "A Review of Maori Art, and Mr. F/lsrlon Best will follow with a paper "The Maori as a Voyager." The papers will bo illustrated by appropriate exhibits. As the two gentlemen are recognised authorities on the subjects which tlioy are to treat, the meeting promises to be a most profitable one. Friends of members are cordially invited to attend.
