At about 11.30 a.m. yesterday tho New Zealand Shipping Company's R.M.S. Semuera arrived oi Wellington from London, via way ports. After pratique had been granted the vessel berthed at the King's Wharf. According to an official report of tho long journey, departure was-was taken from London on May 4. and after an uneventful run down the English Channel tho vessel called at Plymouth next day to talie aboard passengers and mails. The voyago was continued in the evening, fine weather with moderate Tariable winds being experienced across the Bey of Biscay and down the Spanish Const. A call was mado at Tenoriffe on May 10 to replenish bunkers. Fino weather, with light to moderate trade winds, prevailed throughout .the passage to Cape Town, which port was reached on May 25. After taking in some 1700 tons bunker coal and landing and embarking passengers, the Remuera left the South African port next day for Hobart. Variable fine weather, with fresh.to strong N.W. and fi.W. winds experienced crossing tho Southern Ocean. The Crozet Islands were sighted just before dark on June I, and Hobart reached on June 15. At this port 1100 tons of cargo w«.s discharged. _ after which departure woe taken for Wellington at 7 a.m. on Thursday last. MOANA ARRIVES AT 'FRISCO. According to advices received in Wellington the Union Company's Moana arrived at San Francisco from Sydney, via way ports, on Thursday. June 17. She 16 scheduled to leave the Californlan port on tho return trip to-morrow, being duo at Wellington on July 15. S.S. ULIMAROA FROM SYDNEY. After a fairlv routrh weather trip from Sydney the Huddart;Parkor steamer Ulimaroa arrived at Wellington at 1.35 p.m. yesterday, and berthed at tho Queen's Wharf No. 1 north. Sh'o cleared the New South Wales port at 4.30 p.m. on Thursday-one day early. The Ulimaroa will leave Wellington for Lyttelton to-day, and -will return here in time to sail for Sydney and Hobart at noon on Friday. INDRABARAH AT AUCKLAND. At an oarly hour yesterday morning tho fj. and D. liner Indrabarah arrived at Auckland from London, via way. ports. Mr. John M'Queen, managing director of the Southland Frozen Meat Co., was spoken to t'lio other day by a "Southland Times" reporter as to the probable effect the reported discontinuance of tho exportation of frozen meat from Australia would liavo on shipping spaco for frozen meat from the Dominion. Mr. M'Queen said that undoubtedly it should have a good ofFcct, if Australia had been exporting any considerable quantity of meat. It certainly should havo the tendency of providing moro spaco for tho oxport of Now Zealand meat.
