ALCOCK BILLIARD TOURNAMENT. The finals in this tournoy were played last night. Goklie and Brown wero fcho first to go to tlie table to decide tho B yroup, the result being a win for Brown aftrr a keenly-contested Tho winner's best breaks were 28, 27, 22, and 25, and tho runner's-up 24, 20, 16, and 14. 111 the final for A group Tucker proved an easy winner, his opponent, Fraser. not playing up to his usual form. The winner's best breaks were 88, CO, 49, and 41, and the loser's 39, 33, 30, and 27. Prizes were distributed to the winners by Mr. Goklie, chairman .of the tournament committee, who congratulated the winners and thanked Messrs. Alcock and Co., Ltd., for the support tliev had given. He also thanked Mr. Gribble for the very capable way he had carried out liis duties as secretary. Tho manager of Alcock and Co.. Ltd., announced that as soon as the Carnival was over a ladies' tournament would bo started, and that later a snooker tournament would follow if circumstances would permit. The prize, a Stevenson cue, for the competitor making the highest break ontsido of tlie winner was won by Jlr. ICell.
