THE FORTIETH LIST. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Rec. June 17, 11.50 p.m.) Sydney, June 17. The fortieth Dardanelles casualty list includes: —Killed in Action —119, including Sergt. E. De La tour and Private J. Watt, New Zealanders. ' Died of Wounds—l 3, including Private A. A. Gambling, a New Zeaiander. Wounded—ls2, including Private D. Fryer, a New Zeaiander. Missing—ls; prisoner of war at Constantinople, Lieut. Elston. V.C- HERO KILLED CAPTAIN W. 'JOHNSTON. . London, June 16. Captain W. Johnson, who was awarded the Victoria iCross in November, has been killed in aclion. [Captain Johnson received the Victoria Cross for gallantry in the Battle of the Aisne. At Missy, throughout September 14 he worked two rafts with his own hands, bringing back the wounded and returning with ammunition, thus enabling the advance brigado to maintain its position across tho river.]
