COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE WOUNDED
Relatives of sick and wounded soldiers now at Malta iu hospital have been inquiring of the authorities here as to how to send goods or money to their men there. The Minister of' Defence has ascertained that if all such .packages or communications of any sort are addressed "Care of Captain 'l'obin, Now Zealand Chaplain, Malta," they will be. delivered in due course to tho addressee. BRITISH CASUALTIES The High Commissioner reports:— London, June 16, 2.20 a.m. Army.—Officers asphyxiated by,gas, 2; killed, 10; wounded, 19. Slen asphyxiated by gas, 1; killed, 428; wounded, 1498; suffering from gas poisoning, 17; missing, 249; prisoners, 1. Dardanelles.—Navy officers: Killed, 1; wounded, 3. NAVAL CASUALTIES TO THE END OF MAY. London, Juno 15. Mr. Asquith, speaking in the House of Commons, said tli.it the naval casualties to the end of May totalled 13,547. IDr. MacNamara (Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty) recently stated ill tho House of Commons that during the ivar 6409 lives had been lost in the British Navy, including those killed in the Bulwark and Princess Irene. Mr. Asquith's figures refer, of course, to killed, wounded, and missing.]
