The Mokoia arrived at 10 o'clock tonight after the roughest trip across the Tasman Sea experienced for months. She is duo to sail for Dunedin at 3 a.m. MANUKA ARRIVES FROM SYDNEY. Having afrlvcd in the stream M Wellington from Hobart and Sydney direct at a late hour last night the Manuka wiH berth, at the Quecn'6 Wharf No. 1 north first thing this morning. Ae she has a particularly large cargo to land at Wellington the Manuka, will not get away from here for Lyttelton till this evening. She will return to Wellington on Friday morning, and will sail for Sydney at J p.m. the same day. MOKOIA DELAYED DOWN SOUTH. 1 On account of having been delayed on the run from Melbourne and Hobart to New Zealand ports the Union Company's Mokoia will not arrive at Wellington from Lyttelton till late on Saturday next. Her departure from this port for Melbourne direct has been postponed till 3 p.m. on Monday, June 21. REMUERA AT HOBART. The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised that R.M.S. Remucra,'bound from London to' Wellington, arrived at Hobart at 9 a.m. yesterday. She will continue her journey on to this Sort at daybreak to-morrow, and is due ero on Monday morning next. TAINUI LEAVES LONDON. Advice has been received by the Bhaw, Savill, and Albion Company etating that R.M.S. Tainui cleared London for Wellington, via Cape Town and Hobart on Saturday. June 12. HEAVY WEATHER ON WEST COAST. Weather reports received yesterday from the West Coast ports of both islands were unfavourable. Greymouth reported that there was a strong south-east gale and heavy eea at that port. Also that shipping movements were impossible. Northwest moderate gales wore reported at Wanganui. Patea, and Foxton, as well as heavy see*. Consequently several of the coastal etcamere, which weTe to have left Wellington for the ports mentioned yesterday. have been delayed till to-day. ISLANDS SERVICE CHANGEi). Several changes are announced in connection with the Union Company's Islands cervices. Leaving Auckland on Juno 26 the Atua will, after making the usual calls, proceed on to Sydney to take up the Tofua's running. On 'the Navua's return to Auckland from Sydney on Sunday, June 27, she will withdraw from the service m order to take up the Atua's running In the Aueklaud-Fiji-Samoa trade on July 19. The Tofna, leaving Sydney on June 22, will proceed ae usual to Suva, Lcvuka, Nukualofa, Tlftpaai, Vavan, Apia, and then return to Suva. Instead of returning to Sydney Irom Suva, the Tofua will como to Aucklt-nd. Marshall, purser of the Maori, who lias been in a, Dunedin private hospital for some time, was a passenger from south by the Maori yesterday morning. Mr. Marshall is now convalescent, and has been granted three months' leave of absence by tho Union Company. Mr. O'Bryan, formerly ohief steward of tho 'l'arawcra and Takapuna,. has been appointed chief steward of tho Hospital Ship Maheno. Messrs. H. M. Inkstcr and C. S. Smith, of the Union Company's local office (traffic department), have joined tho Reinforcements at Trentham. tone. The stock of coal regularly kept on the isthmus is 75.CC0 tons, any proportion of which, is available for sale to vessels. The monthly importations will be increased as the consumption increases, but the surplus stock on the isthmus assures that the needs of vessels will always bo met. Produce will be loaded at Dunedin for Sydney by the Union Company's turret steamer Koromiko to-morrow. The same company's KeJapoi is duo at Oamaru tomorrow with coal from Newcastle. An expected arrival at Dunedin from Home, via Bunbury, on Sunday next is the now Craig steamer Omana., It i 6 probable that the veseel will later go to Auckland to load for Australia. The Omana is described as a handy vessel, capable of carrying about 4000 tons of cargo. According to the "Hew Zealand Herald," the New Zealand. Shipping Company's steamer Tongarlro, en, route from St. John, is now discharging at Sydney. She is expected to leave that port on June 21 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel is expected to arrivo at Auckland about June 26, and will discharge about 1000 tons of Canadian merchandise. . , ~ , When the Kamono has landed her of Katpara timber at Melbourne she will load at the latter port tor Lyttelton and Wellington. On Tuesday, Juno o, the A.M.S. Sonoma loft San Francisco for Sydney. She is due there on June 29, and will sail on the outward jouirney again on July 3. Latest mail advices state that Messrs. Hind, Rolph, and Co., San Francisco agents for the Union Oompany, have received a. charter for their steel fourmasted barquentine Hawaii, which has been lying at San Francisco since September last. The Hawaii has lieen fixed to load lumber at British Columbia for Cape Town at the big rate of 100s. The Arahura. left Westport at 10 a.m. yesterday for Nelson, Picton, and Wellington. She is due in port between 4 and 5 o'clock this evening. Tairoa Head lighthouse was worked by the Government steamer Hinemoa on Monday evening, and the vcs£el was engaged in lauding stores at the Nuggets yesterday. She proceeded thence to Waipapapa Point and the Blurt. She leaves the West Coast Sounds to-morron. Tile Kittawa, which is expected to leave the Bluff for Wellington to-day, is bringing about 11C0 tons of cargo, including 2200 crates of checse for transhipment to the I'aparoa at this port. Attention is directed to an advertisement appearing elsewhere in this issue in which it is stated.that if sufficient inducement offers tho Mnnapouri will be „dispatched from New Zealand ports for Yokohama. and Kobe, on or about June 23.
