ONE,SHIP LOST TO.NEW. ZEALAND Recently news reached New Zealand that .three of the usual New Zealand meat-carrying steamers, had been withdrawn: from the New Zealand trade, and sent to the River Plate. Thb owners requested that the steamers should be restored to the Argentine trade, but the Board of Trade refused to disturb the, charters. "We' are one ship to tho bad cn tho transaction," said the Prime' Minister, commenting on tlieso facts yesterday. He added, however, tliat so far as he could loam there were 14 steamers either in New Zealand or to arrive shortly. There were tho Rangatira, Paparoa, Kia Ora, Remuera, Indrabarah, Atlienic, Tongariro, La Blanca, Opawa, Delphic, Corinthic, Somerset, Ruahine, and Waiwera. Ho . thought these steamers should release the congestion of frozen meat ready for export from New Zealand.
