(, ALCOCK DINER TOURNAMENT. Three interesting games before an interested and enthusiastic audience were played yesterday evening. In A section, Porter (rec. 10) beat Buddie (scratch) hy some twenty odd points, after a keen up-and-down game. Porter was perhaps a little more consistent than his opponent, and repeatedly played for safety. Tucker (owes 150) beat Isaacs (rec. •50) very comfortably. 'Hie winner, who can bo Accounted one of tie finest cueists in New Zealand, gave a, vory fine exhibition of all-round billiards, and made several breaks ill the vicinity or 50. In B section, Coldie accounted for Turner, who was most unfortunate in having a long sequcnco of difficult leaves. Tlio best breaks of the ewnnig were Tucker, 58, 49, and 44; Buddlo, 49; and the semi-finals will be contested between tbo following players:— A group: Burd and Fraser. Porter and Tucker.
