« GREAT WAIKARAPA EFFORT FOR WOUNDED SOLDIERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Masterton, June 15. A canvas on behalf of the Wounded Soldiers' Fund in the Wairarapa has resulted in a sum of £5000 being obtained in one day. Mrs. P. M'Larou, of Homebush, to-day gave £1000. One settlor states that his wool returns this year are £2000 more than last year. He intends contributing £2000, and then giving from his own income, in o r . der that he may make some sacrifice.
