1 WAHINE FIREMAN FINED. (By TaleeTODh.—"PreHu Association.) Chrlstohurch, Juno 15. As a sequel to repeated complaints about people on the wharf being deluged w i. wa t«r, James Ruffet, a fireman on the Wahine, was charged at the Lyttclton Court to-day with assault. A detective said he had seen the accused squirting water through a porthole. The Bench inflicted a- fine of 30s. and costs, and severely warned accused.
